A long cypress driveway leads to the house - past the Mediterranean gardens and the surrounding unspoilt subtropical nature. The light-flooded villa with various architectural elements from the 1930s is surrounded by terraces that extend over several levels and invite you to relax with a variety of seating options. The spectacular pool terrace with a crescent-shaped infinity pool and the pool house designed in the Moorish style of the 1930s has the atmosphere of a film set, perfect for enjoying the unique sunsets in the sea and the endless starry sky. A romantic water lily pond with blue water lilies is integrated into the dreamlike natural backdrop. Modern and classic sculptures by various artists can be found throughout the grounds. The neighbouring picturesque viewing terrace is the ideal place for a sundowner.
High-quality materials also characterise the interior design of the house, where whitewashed walls contrast with the warm wooden frames of the doors and windows. The stylish interior design is complemented by bright primary colours that provide a fitting backdrop for the design classics and Bauhaus furniture. The silver-plated washbasins in the bathrooms were handmade in Marrakech.

Villa Botánica is located in Puntagorda, a picturesque village in the north-west of La Palma, a heart-shaped island with secluded beaches, volcanoes and dense forests. Located between the ravines of Garome and Izcagua, Puntagorda is surrounded by pine and almond trees and is famous for its almond blossom in January and February. Visit the Almendro en Flor festival in February with music, dancing and free almond and palm wine or the patron saint festival in honour of San Mauro Abad in August.
The Barranco de Izcagua and the forest of El Fayal are highly recommended excursion destinations nearby. A popular market, the Mercadillo, is held in the village at weekends, selling local produce, wine, cheese and handicrafts.
