For younger children, it is a short distance to Hunderfossen Family Park, Barnas Gård Children's Farm, Maihaugen Open Air Museum and the fun family park Lilleputthammer, where you can meet Ola and Hedda. On days with less favourable weather, you can take a trip to the swimming pool in Jorekstad for hours of fun in the water. There are also plenty of good fishing lakes, rivers and streams to choose from. Don't forget your fishing licence. After a long day, you can enjoy a delicious dinner at Gaiastova. Hafjell naturally also offers a wide range of activities in winter. You can ski in/ski out from the house, so all you have to do is hit the piste. The Hafjell Alpine Centre has 19 lifts and 32 slopes covering all levels of difficulty. A few kilometres from the house, you can set off on a cross-country skiing tour on an extensive network of trails in the mountains. For those who prefer walking, there are also good hiking opportunities in winter.
