Positive: The apartment is located on the top floor of the building. The large terrace offers a splendid view of the sea and the Sagrada Familia, really close to the building. This is truly amazing. The neighborhood is lively, with good restaurants and bars. The apartment is large and has all the essential amenities, including a complimentary set of dish soap and a washing machine (there is no washing machine in the apartment). The bathroom is clean. It was really nice to be able to have breakfast on the terrace in the sunshine, which in Barcelona never seems to be in short supply. To enter the apartment you have to register to a web-site, provide your documents details, pay the city tax and a deposit. It is a not very fast procedure. Anyway you don't need the key. You can open the door of the building and that of the apartment just sliding in the web-site.

Negative: The bedroom is small, though large enough for a double bed, but the mattress isn't particularly comfortable. Sleeping on the double sofa bed in the living room/kitchen was even more uncomfortable, although the sofa itself, with its peninsula, is comfortable for watching TV. It was a bit difficult to find the apartment. We took the wrong elevator the first time. The house rules are very strict, including the requirement to collect all waste and throw it in the bins on the street and the request to pay for anything that might be broken (it might happen that you drop a cup), especially considering that there is a deposit required for the entire stay.
