Located in a valley of palm trees and surrounded by magnificent mountains, the Bohemian Hideaway estate is a key point for hiking and cycling trails, and is only 35 minutes by car to the beaches.
The Haystack was originally built as farm stables and later used as a warehouse for tobacco drying. During the renovations in 2006, the building was transformed beautifully to receive guests. The house has a living / dining room / kitchen with comfortable armchairs, a sofa bed, a dining table and chairs, satellite TV with international channels, a DVD player and free Wi-Fi.
The master bedroom has two comfortable single beds, a closet, an electronic safe and an air conditioning system with hot and cold functions.
The Haystack has all the modern comforts so that our guests feel at home during their stay and can accommodate up to 4 guests in two separate double rooms (the secondary room has its own private bathroom and sink). There is the option to add an extra guest on the sofa bed.
The Haystack has:

• Secondary bedroom: two comfortable single beds with white sheets, a private bathroom with sink and toilet, a large closet, drawers, electric heater and fan.
• Garden terrace: swimming pool, sun beds, umbrellas, barbecue kitchenette with running water and sink, tables and chairs, olive trees and palm trees.
• Free private parking for guests.
• Pets are allowed on request
The farm has a communal pool and garden area with sun loungers to relax in the sun, as well as umbrellas and trees for shade. As of 2019, we have a second outdoor terrace area away from the pool with additional sun beds, dining table and space to practice yoga / pilates (we have mats) with spectacular views of the mountains. An outdoor kitchenette for barbecues with sink, table and chairs are also here for our guests to enjoy.
To consider: the garden, the pool area and the new outdoor terrace are shared spaces between La Labranza and El Pajar guests.
The farm is located in the small village of Ingenio de Santa Lucía, 540 m above sea level and nestled in a quiet valley of olive trees and palm trees. The surrounding mountains are extremely popular with hikers, cyclists and climbers, many of whom travel here specifically for the warm weather and spectacular scenery of the island.
There is a small shop in the village that sells some basic items, as well as local fruits and vegetables. On weekend nights, the store owner opens the inner courtyard and serves fantastic traditional dishes at an incredibly affordable price.
Only 5 minutes by car (or 25 minutes on foot) is the picturesque town of Santa Lucia, with small grocery stores, restaurants, bakeries, a pharmacy and an ATM.
In addition to the sound of the church doorbell by the hour or a passing car, the town of Santa Lucia is an extremely quiet and relaxed place with picturesque whitewashed houses and cobbled streets.
Our Bohemian Hideaway estate is perfect for those who want to spend time in nature, but it is also only 35 minutes by car from the coast! Notable beaches near the farm are El Cabron, full of marine life and a famous place for diving and snorkeling, and Pozo Izquierdo, known for its perfect wind and kitesurf conditions.
Maspalomas, famous for its long golden beaches and impressive sand dunes, is only 45 minutes drive from the farm. In Playa del Inglés, it is where you will find a lot of restaurants and nightlife.
Las Palmas, with its popular Las Canteras beach, surfers and the relaxed atmosphere of the city, are not more than 50 minutes from the farm.
Wherever you decide to drive and explore, the Bohemian Hideaway estate is an excellent starting point for your road trip, with panoramic views and many photo opportunities for budding photographers.
