Summary: This is an excellent option for those wanting to be surrounded by nature, high up in the Serra da Freita mountain. The hotel is right opposite the Frecha da Mizarela waterfall, one of the biggest in Portugal. That said, there are few facilities nearby, restaurants or shops, so be prepared to travel for food and drinks or other services. There are some beautiful sunsets to be seen, especially from the rooms that look out onto the road in front. The hotel is spotlessly clean and modern. Rooms are spacious with electric shutters. Breakfast is self service with a large choice of food. I found the breakfast seating area to be a bit crowded though. The bathroom lacks a place or unit to store toiletries, so I kept them on the armchair in the room. Overall, it's an excellent hotel.
