The REFUGE is a simple cave house, located in the middle of the Teide forest crown in the area of Villas de Arico. It is the ideal place for walkers, families in love with nature and climbing lovers, since the Arico area brings together a large number of climbing sectors. Crossed by pine forests and deep ravines, it is ideal for lovers of this sport, since it has more than 500 well-equipped routes that cover all levels of difficulty – with a predominance of intermediate grades – and a maximum height of 35 meters.
In addition, the Refuge is the perfect place to disconnect, enjoy peace and tranquility with the family in a natural environment.
This cozy refuge and the 10,000-square-meter estate will be for the private use of guests. The accommodation has 60 meters approx. interiors distributed in an open living room with kitchen and fireplace, bedroom and bathroom.
Sheets, blankets and towels, as well as cleaning products are included in the house. It has a gas stove, gas kitchen.
It does not have electricity and the lighting we use is by means of candles, battery lamps, the running water comes from a 1000 liter tank, to take a shower or do the cleaning, you will feel like going back to the past, as you will have to heat the water on the gas stove. to do so you could use buckets that we have in the house.
There is telephone network coverage although the farm is far from the neighbors, services and the town.
The refuge does not have luxuries, there is no television, but it will have a great natural space to rest, walk and disconnect from day to day in the middle of the forest, a privileged place with barbecue, hammocks and toys for children. The views are very beautiful, you can see the sea in the distance and the mountains, the atmosphere is a magnificent, a place of peace and tranquility where you can lie down among the pines, write, paint or simply see the stars, if you want to spend a few days away from everything as a couple or as a family, enjoy nature, climbing, long walks through the pine forest or simply rest, this is the ideal place, it is like going camping in nature but more comfortable and above all more romantic!
In order to get to the Refuge, a car is essential, and to get there we recommend high cars such as a small van or jeep, since part of the road is in the natural area, a forest track, although any vehicle can get there.
Due to the distance from the supermarkets about 20 minutes by car from the house, they will find a small pantry so that they can help themselves with basic food that they can buy in the same house.
Breakfast will be left alone on the day of arrival as a free courtesy on our part and consists of fruit, pastries, coffee, tea, water, juice, jam, bread, eggs (some products may change depending on availability), the quantity is sufficient to more than one day of stay.
