It stretches along about seven kilometres of coastline, which includes the beaches of Los Pocillos, Playa Grande, Playa Chica, all with golden sand, as well as several coves. The above beaches have been certified as safe beaches by the Spanish Institute for Tourism Quality (ICTE): Safe Tourism Certified, after passing an audit carried out by TÜV RHEINLAND. You can practice various sports: scuba diving, windsurfing, cycling, parascending, and for those who like cycling there is a twenty kilometre long cycle path. There is also a golf course for golf lovers about five minutes away between the towns of Puerto del Carmen and Tías.
