Positive: Rosa and José were exceptionally friendly, helpful and welcoming; and their bananas are terrific! The house is comfortable and well equipped, and very peaceful despite being only a short (steep) walk from the road where there's a bar and a small supermarket. You'll need a car: be aware that the last section of road to Casa Elvira is unsurfaced, also that getting anywhere on La Gomera takes longer than you expect, especially if you leave the main roads.

Negative: Nothing - Casa Elvira had everything we needed, was comfortable and very reasonably priced.

Summary: Casa Elvira is a hidden gem; a peaceful and comfortable stay, with a warm welcome from Rosa and José
